The language and literature of Italy. It's very homey. Although almost everyone was speaking Italian, but I truly enjoyed my surroundings. Now for the taste, the cappuccino was so gooooood, best cappuccino I have ever had, the biscotti's were huge, not your average little cookie, but ginormous.

I was really happy I gave it a try and would definitely be coming back soon. Excellent coffee, cappuccino, and panettone. Nice sandwiches. The cafe is on the smaller, more cramped side but is a good place in winter and to people watch in the heart of Little Italy.

Cash only. Best cappuccino I will ever have. I enjoyed the atmosphere and listened to the older gentlemen discuss, in Italian, what I can only guess would be news, politics or soccer. So glad we stopped here! Best cappuccino I have ever tried, I even had to get a second cup if you're ever around little Italy in Montreal, give it a try, you won't regret it! Good no frills cappuccino place.

It's very plain but cappuccinos were right on the money. They were perfect temperature and delicious.

It reminded me of awesome cappuccinos we had on our Italy trip. Caffe Italia is the real deal.

Caffe Italia, Perth

Don't expect any frills or a hip Instagram account to follow- you'll get a small table in a loud room full of old Italian fellows and a really solid espresso. Their in-house blend is quite dark which may appeal to some coffee drinkers averse to lighter third-wave blends.

Their capps are basically perfect. They also make a mean sandwich if you're hungry. Overall, a really satisfying experience with a classic ambience which really contrasts with younger shops across the city. Open from 7am till 11pm this place just never seems to stop. Sitting at the bar you'll often see an order of 10 or more cups that come all at once!

Amazingly no words are exchanged between waiters and the Barrista. I was trying to decode the system, a combo of saucer, glass spoons and positions that minimizes the need to talk and focus on delivery!

Tip: Don't try to sit at the corner table unless you're looking for dirty looks. This where the older italian men hang out to talk about soccer, politics and sometimes about weather. Montrealers like it like that" I was told by a regular. You won't see any fancy foam art but the crema is thick, exactly what you would expect from fresh coffee beans being hit at the right temperature and 12 bars of pressure.

Food-wise staples are mortadella, capicollo or salami sandwiches, toasts with choice of jam, peanut butter or Nutella and your traditional variety of italian sweets. We watched as each guest received a warm welcome and a hug. There's always a reason when diners return. Back in Albany again - my sister has been to this place before so we decided to check it out as a family.

Being that I work two blocks from Arthur Avenue, I am always hesitant to try italian places. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Like another yelper wrote, the atmosphere of this place is "one star above a pizzeria" I would even give it two stars. As soon as you walk in, you are among the tables. There are only about 13 tables in the whole place.

The waiter came over and immediately took our jackets. Upon reviewing the menu, I was shocked and disappointed to see that there was no fried calamari as an appetizer. We ordered two glasses of wine and a bloody Mary which my mother said was very good, except the waiter never came back to ask if she would like another glass. For entrees, We ordered the veal luciana, chicken contadina, chicken francese and lobster and crab ravioli.

The veal and chicken were cooked just right. My mother felt her Francese was too salty. I was also not a fan of the cream sauce that the lobster and crab ravioli was cooked in but my father devoured it. However, during dinner, the waiter did not come over to check how we were doing nor did he come over and refill our waters.

I'm giving this place four stars for the food but the service could have been a little more attentive. Very, very nice wait staff but the food was a over priced and dining area was about the size of my living room! Very small plates for an Italian restaurant, here's what really got me my lobster was bad it taste of ammonia. Not a fan personally I loved how they knew all their patrons though!

Service was fast and friendly. Everyone in my party raved about their meal and from start to finish, everything was great. My husband and I both really enjoyed the chocolate mousse pie and cappuccino for dessert. I had a penne pasta dish with a plum tomato, basil, and prosciutto sauce - fantastic! This spot is a cozy and romantic little Italian restaurant.

The best restautant in cascais - Caffe Italia

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant! We come here for every special occasion.

The staff is so amazing and the food is fabulous! One of my favorite places to eat dinner in the Capital Region! Did I mention that the portions are huge too! They will also make any item on the menu in a child's size portion for your children. My only compliant is they are always booked and I can't get a reservation last minute!! If you want the feel of great Italian food in a casual setting, like grandmas dining room, this is the place.

Caffe Italia 1

The dining room is very small, with only about a dozen tables. Another 4 or 5 outside during seasonal weather. You'll be greeted quickly, as you enter next to tables. Warm bread with pesto oil quickly arrive on the white tablecloth. Wine is only by the glass, which suited us just fine.

Three glasses total between us. We ordered a special appetizer of the night, which was a seafood turnover. Light pasty, and lobster inside with a cream sauce on top. Salads come with dinner, and were fresh and light. Both were excellent, and large enough for a doggy bag. We shared a sorbet covered in white chocolate for dessert. Not cheap, but all food hit the mark. The service is almost family style; you have a waiter, but other staff comes by to remove plates, fill water glasses, bring more bread, and get another glass of wine.

The room is small, so make a reservation in advance. I've always wanted to dine here and my wish finally came true on my birthday, when someone took me here for dinner. I had the Pasta Arrabbiata and the person I accompanied had the eggplant parm. From the warm fresh bread, to the salad, to my entree, there was nothing I disliked.

The service was excellent and prompt and everything was delicious. I liked the dimly lit atmosphere, and found it to be perfect for my birthday dinner.

I will definitely be coming back for years to come. Hands down the best restaurant in the Albany area. The food and service are top notch! If you died and went to heaven and sat at the table for dinner with the saints , this is what the food would taste like. Look, no doubt you know Italian food. How could you not?

If you grew up in America, it has been the default choice for food with flavor for at least a hundred years. In my high school cafeteria, there were two lines for lunch, the choice of the day, and the meatball grinder sub, hero, regional name line.

Choice of the day line. No wait.I ordered a cappuccino to go and was immediately received in a very friendly fashion despite on how busy it was. However, housed in a charming and intimate location that beckons fine dining nostalgia from decades ago, Cafe Italia's chef knows how to expertly prepare delicious classics and the seasoned and experienced service is quick and professional. Had a coffee at the counter here after a lunch nearby.
