In this regard, the study of cell and molecular biology can be compared to the study of an elephant as conducted by six blind men in an old Indian fable. The six travel to a nearby palace to learn about the nature of elephants.

Moreover, they reinforce the idea that cell biologists operate at the frontier of science, a boundary between the unknown and known or thought to be known.

Remain skeptical. It may lack some of the depth of Alberts et al.
