It did however lose a star as the sometimes dry historical stories given as an example to the rules of power can sometimes get a bit boring and drawn out.

If you are not a lover of history this book will definately not be up your alley. I did however thoroughly enjoy this book and its fastidiously researched historical examples but the red side notes did get a bit distracting and when i actually made effort to read them they honestly didnt add anything and couldnt have just been done without.
